If you aim to showcase your intelligence, Lingo offers two distinct game modes:
- Turn-based mode provides players with three attempts to guess the word before passing the turn to their opponents.
- Real-time mode offers an intense gameplay experience where each round unfolds rapidly without interruptions.
The game follows clear rules for deciphering the word:
- A green letter indicates a correct position within the word.
- An orange letter signifies a correct letter but in the wrong position.
- A red letter denotes a correct letter that is in the right place, prompting players to avoid reusing it.
Moreover, successfully guessing a green-lettered position unlocks a wildcard with various benefits. Lingo incorporates four types of jokers:
- Additional time
- Revealing a green letter
- Locating an orange letter
- Stealing points from your opponent
